So if there was ever any question, it is confirmed; I HATE traffic. Not only was it a problem the other day trying to get to Winter Park, it's been horrendous all week up here. I say here because I'm currently writing from the crackberry from the ambulance, sitting in traffic. On Friday it took us 2 hours to go like 6 miles from Dillon to the tunnel going easy on 70 - it was every bit as lame as it sounds.
Yesterday we rode for several hours, a couple of which were in the snow, which sucked. It started out fairly warm and we were making comments about how we over dressed, but then the front moved in and it droped 10 degrees to between 20 and 25, and began snowing. I thougt it might snow a bit, so I threw on the rear fender as a *just in case* measure but didn't do the front one... Subsequently my ass stayed quite pleasantly dry, however the splashback from my front wheel left my feet not so much. My feet stayed pretty dry because of the 2 pairs of shoe covers I was wearing, but the wind and cold temps litterally turned them, and the shoecovers into blocks of ice.
At first when it starts to snow on you when you're training, you think that it's cool because you're super hard core or something, but then you realize how cold and wet you become eventually and it becomes less and less cool. That's pretty much how it went.
